Principles

The truth about therapy is that it’s not a magic pill. It takes time and progress aren’t linear.

Therefore it takes a certain amount of courage on behalf of anyone to be in therapy.

As your therapist, I am walking along with you, at your own pace. I hold the space, sometimes the mirror and I ask a lot of questions, some of which you’ll find challenging.

It might seem obvious but I can’t do the work on your behalf. Even if I wanted to. But I’ll be there all along supporting you and fighting your corner - so to speak.

Therapy is humbling. It makes us recognise and acknowledge that we all need some support and guidance. No one can or is meant to solve everything on their own.

During the duration of our journey together, you’re an active participant. What happens during sessions is as important as what happens in between. What I mean is that your commitment to yourself greatly contributes to the success of the work we do together.

Overall and taking the risk of not “selling it”, I’d say that change, transformation and evolution isn’t easy. It takes time, dedication and repetition. It also takes someone who believes in us and skilfully supports us. That’s my role.
